Jay’s site has been crucial in providing my students with skills necessary to pass the TASC math. I love the short video explanations that are provided along with the printable worksheets. When a student is needing remediation, I have them go to FAST TRACK MATH. During COVID I could rely on the videos/worksheets to help teach a particular skill virtually. I have not purchased Jay’s book, but I intend to.

The book was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. Spending today in my office looking it over page by page as we are not currently having classes due to COVID. Loving your book so far! Teaching in an adult detention facility can be a challenge from the standpoint that I may have a student who dropped out in the 10th grade and sitting next to him is a student whose family moved so often that he only made it to the 6th grade. So simplified explanations are a plus! A given lesson then turns out to be a good review for the 10th grade student, while the 6th grade student is still learning the process. That makes it hard to use one text book which is the situation we are in. My lower-level learners look at it and often throw up their hands thinking that there is no way they will ever get it. Or much worse they say to me, “I’m too dumb.” And the biggest challenge to that scenario, is that the lower-level student often quits coming before giving it a chance. Thus, I love the way you approach it. Thanks so much!

Hello! I have several students that use your website. Here are 2 responses:
1) The thing about Jay is that he does not take a long time to explain the process. He is easier to understand than most teachers. Instead of losing me in the long process or explanation, he gets to the point and it is easier to then do the problems.
2) These videos are like candy. I have been here for 3 years off and on. I have been scared of math. After doing this website with the videos, I feel free of my negative feelings toward doing math. I am finding that I want more and more because I can grasp the concepts quicker. Thank you for allowing us to use your site!!!!!
Another of my students just shared that your videos saved her marriage. WOW!!!!!! What a testimony. She said since the virus, her husband was helping her through her studies.
